Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has urged the club to be active in the January transfer market after a disappointing 2-0 defeat to Everton on Sunday.

"We need to talk and to try to improve in the next transfer market," Pochettino said after the match. "We need to analyse the reality. We need to be strong. We need to be competitive. And we need to show that we are a big club."

Pochettino has been linked with a number of players in recent weeks, including Joao Felix, Enzo Fernandez, and Jude Bellingham.

Chelsea have already spent a significant amount of money on new players in recent years, but Pochettino believes that further investment is required.

"The club has invested a lot of money in recent years, but we need to be careful with our money," Pochettino said. "We need to make sure that we are investing in the right players."

Whether or not Chelsea will be able to provide Pochettino with the funds he needs to improve the squad remains to be seen. However, the manager has made it clear that he believes that the club needs to be more active in the transfer market.

Possible consequences of Chelsea's transfer market activity:

Improved results: By acquiring new players, Chelsea could improve their results on the pitch.

Increased competition: New players could provide more competition for places in the team, which could lead to improved performances from all players.

Financial pressure: Spending money on new players could put strain on Chelsea's finances, which could have a negative impact on the club in the long term.

Fan reaction: The transfer market activity could have a positive or negative impact on the fans' reaction to the club.

Overall, Pochettino's call for the club to be active in the transfer market is a sign that he believes that Chelsea need to improve their squad if they are to achieve their goals.
