Chinese Company, Shenzhen Lemi To Establish Battery Factory In Nigeria

#COP28UAE: REA, @NASENIHQ Cooperation Agreement went full circle earlier today at the #ChinesePavilion, Blue Zone, #COP28 where a landmark agreement was signed with Shenzhen Lemi Technology Development Company Limited of China.

The landmark partnership leads to the development and establishment of a US$150 million Lithium-Ion Battery Manufacturing and Processing Factory in Nigeria.

With proceedings led by the Chinese Delegate and with the Minister of Ecology and Environment, China, leading engagements of China delegates, both the Heads of REA and @NASENIHQ expressed their commitment to their respective mandate with the objective of optimizing the joint partnership for research and development projects in Nigeria.

This partnership is equally targeted at enhancing the quality, reliability, and affordability of rural electrification solutions, including the growth of people-centred innovative technologies across Nigeria.
